TASIK Merimbun
Saturday, April 4, 2009
5 shutterbugs spend a good saturday afternoon to Tasek Merimbun, the biggest lake in Brunei. It's was drizzling and raining on the way and yet we decided to give it a shot. It was a gloomy, calming, cooling evening at Tasik Merimbun.
It’s funny cause it’s the first time that i use my remote flash trigger seriously since i bought it from ebay 2 months ago. It’s not the branded PocketWizard nor the other popular Cactus brand, some Made in China with a chinese brand name, but it serve my intention well, as a beginner. The portraiture shot is meant to make the background looks a bit fake, like backdrop in studio.
Could have been better with a professional “female” model as the subject perhaps. Haha, joking Dex! Len, thanks for doing a fantastic job positioning and holding the flash tripod.
We took our group shot with my remote flash trigger and remote shutter trigger. It was a jump shot and the remote (wireless) shutter trigger really comes in handy. However the shot were taken with Len’s 5DMKII (woooo....).
Fresh water crocodile ahead. Would love to spot one though ; ))
If you ever wonder what is that small white box in the center, it’s a floating hut!
Boat ride available to tour around the lake and island. $5 per ride.
This is a potential site for some cool “fairy tales alike” scene setting
Chilling out before heading back home after just an hour spent at the Tasik. We have to do it again, i have not done any macro yet.
